WEEK 24 - Elkhorn, Nevada

This week felt really long even tho it was shorter because pday is today not tomorrow because of transfers!!!!! 

Transfer newss 

I am leaving Elkhorn and going to Logandale!!! Which is out of valley!  which is crazy like no one goes out of valley! Its super far away in nature and stuff lol i'm excited! AND guess who my new companion is ?!?!?! Sister Steele!!!  my companion from the CCM! WHHAAAATTTT this is crazy! 

Ok lets get into the week:

☆HIGHLIGHTS☆

• I held a pigeon! Never done that before. He was so cute I named him Rodrick. Don't worry I put hand sanitizer on after

• Omar came to church let's gooo he's Turkish and Muslim and he likes to learn lots about other religions and i'm pretty sure he is not at all interested but he just likes to compare religions lol

• Saw our bestie Jamal (he is definitely not interested but we just like to stop by and chat with him lol)

• We wanted to try something different than just knocking doors because that is getting so boring so we drew the plan of salvation with chalk at a park

• We walked our neighbors dogs because she is still recovering from surgery and he had to go back to work, so that was fun! I think that's the first time I've like actually walked a dog... shoutout allergies! 

• They invited us over for dinner to thank us for walking their dogs and it was a miracle because our member meal canceled the day before so we didn't have to do 2 dinners lolll

Went to target TWICE! Oh my I love Target 

• The water bottle mom got me with a built in spray mister thing is coming in clutchhh it is so nice in this heat. Shoutout mom!

• A road runner ran across the road in front of us in the car

• We did more grout cleaning at Sister Cade's  and we have also just gone over a couple times to visit her because she had her surgery! Nauurrrr I'm going to miss Sister Cade!!! 

• Someone bought our groceries last week so that was awesome

• Got to talk to my dad for Fathers Day! SHOUTOUT DAD!!! He is the best ever I am so lucky HAPPY FATHERS DAY to all the amazing dads and father figures out there your'e so awesome 

☆LOWLIGHTS☆

• I have 6 bug bites on 1 ankle bruhhh

WEEK 23 🌟🌟🌟 - Elkhorn, Nevada

 HELLO HELLO HELLO

This week definitely had highs and lows but thats just how it goes

☆HIGHLIGHTS☆

★ Last week we had a litty district activity, went to one of our members massive houses and hungout it was so fun. They even had SONIC ICE CREAM!!! And I was even wearing my sonic shirt  Sister Chapa and Herring know I almost got sonic ice cream from the ice cream truck in Montebello SOOOO many times. I was very excited but it is safe to say it does not taste very good and it dyed my mouth blue. 

★ Went to Sister Cades again and she gave us her old vintage COACH BAGS HELLO???  Actually INSANE! They're SO CUTE I'm obsessed I love coach

★ I straightened my hair for the first time in like 2 years probably 

★ I think I'm getting used to the heat lowkey...  like it's still freaking hot obviously but like now I go outside and I don't absolutely die. And like after the sun goes down usually I would be like WHY IS IT STILL SO HOT EVEN WHEN THE SUN IS DOWN but now I'm just chillin like I'll be standing there sweating but it doesn't feel that hot even tho it's 104° (only when the sun is down)

★ We made cookies with sister Bawden!!! Oh she's just the sweetest little old lady there ever was 

★ Did service for sister Cade otra ves, this time cleaning her grout and exercising her dogs by throwing their balls in the pool over and over lol it was fun (May or may not have also stood in the pool)

★ We went to a cutie little farmers market during lunch one day! I got a jar of honey and apple cider yum! 

★ We lost contact with Andrew a week
or two ago but we found him again and he came to church! It was a farewell so it was so packed and we didn't even see him until the end when he came up to us, but he said he loved it! 

★ Also Avery is back in town so she came to church 

★ A member meal fell through and sister cade has been wanting to feed us so we called her up and she fed us  it was YUM! Then she yapped and yapped so we were there for WAY too long but it's whatever I just love her 

☆LOWLIGHTS☆

★ My allergies were going CRAZY after being around a horse  so I took a benadryl... BAD. IDEA. Later I was SO drowsy I could NOT stay awake during studies lol and I was like WHY am I so tired rn???  Then I realized, it's the benadryl.  but do not fret we made it to sister Cade's awake and well (she called me out for saying I look like I would rather be taking a nap (she was right)) but do not fret her crystal lite concoction got the drowsy outta me in no time

SPIRITUAL THOUGHT

★Very small spiritual thought this week just a scripture 

★Alma 77:24 "And see that ye have faith, hope, and charity, and then ye will always abound in good works."

★ Be a good person! Be christlike! Have charity and faith and hope! Ok love you all have a great week
